The Golden Ticket To An Unresolved Mr. Lebanon Mystery

The cardboard teaser in this picture indicates a prize the ‘dethroned’ Mr. Lebanon, Roy Imad had won on the night of his election back in 2010. Funny, it has always caught my attention, it says: “The Golden Ticket: In your wildest dreams, you could never imagine the pleasure that awaits inside the doors of Playboy mansion. The girls! The mansion! The night of your life!”

I keep wondering, why would the organizers assume that the guy who will win is straight? I’m not saying that Roy is not, but it would have been more appropriate and less ridiculous if they had picked something that is not referring to his sexual preference given the fact that many of the former title holders are not heterosexuals; In any case, did Roy get to spend one night with those sexy Playboy girls? Or was that just a cover-up sign, a way to improve the contest’s reputation?

It is very obvious that Roy misses the days when he was Mr. Lebanon 2010, because he keeps changing his Facebook profile picture to the one from the pageant.

It was rumored that he gave up the title after being sexually harassed by the manager of the contest, but we don’t think this is true, in fact he had failed to perform numerous duties as Mr. Lebanon; we contacted him several times to find out the truth from him, however, he refused to talk about it, and said that eventually everybody will know what had happened.

Two years had gone by, and we still haven’t heard his side of the story…

  1. I mean, is that the view of what our society have of men:
    1) If they compete in pageants, they’re homosexual?
    2) If they’re straight, they’re nothing but sex addicts and looking for girls all the time for sexual pleasure?

Is this a suitable award in the first place that should be given to a gentleman holding the name of Lebanon and is supposed to be representing its best image wherever he goes?

If this is how the Mr. Lebanon pageant is right now, then it’s all full of shit and it needs a major change. And so, Roy Imad had the right all along to remain silent and to walkout with whatever was left from his dignity.
