It has been rumored lately that the model and actor Jeff Zalzali is in the hospital fighting for his life, as a result of drug overdose. When a journalist on behalf of ‘Nadine’ magazine called Jeff to find out the truth from him, he identified himself as “Jaafar Zalzali” (his legal name), wishing not to answer the media as he already retired and does not work under the spotlights anymore. He claims that he’s committed to Islam now, and that he spends his days in the mosque to pray and read the Quran. He said, “they can say whatever they want about me, I’m in a completely different world right now”.

It is noteworthy that Jaafar had a rough childhood. He lost his father during the Lebanese civil war, and his mother remarried soon after.

Also, Jaafar was engaged to Nathaly Fadlallah, the owner of Nathaly’s Modeling Agency. Fadlallah crowned him “Mr. World” in a small local pageant, back in 2007.
