According to the Minister of Tourism’s speech at the Miss Lebanon press conference dated July 19, 2012, and in terms of establishing the rules of sustainability for the Miss Lebanon competition, he said the Ministry will hire a professional management team to establish a “Miss Lebanon Institute” or an “Academy” for the training and preparations of new delegates to better social performance, physical fitness and good conduct, 1 year prior to competing in the official election of Miss Lebanon.
The Minister of Tourism added that the academy will include a national committee comprising academics, such as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Lebanese University and an advisory committee of professional people, to supervise the contest, and keep it away from business-oriented, in addition to the responsibility of the Lebanese government which will set international beauty standards for this competition in agreement with LBCI channel.
