In about 5 months from now, the casting call ad for the 2012 Miss Lebanon contest will arise on the LBC local channel. This competition is eye-popping for the Lebanese girls, beautiful or not, educated or illiterate, they all get excited over it just like in the story of Cinderella, when the prince announces his intentions of picking out a wife, in a royal ball at his castle!
It’s the dream of every girl to wear the crown, get acknowledged by the public as a super pretty girl, and set a good example for younger generations. Nevertheless, this dream can turn into a nightmare when the crowned girl becomes the target of harsh criticism, and continuous attacks from those who support other candidates, or do not think she’s pretty enough to be called a beauty queen.
Lebanese Beauty Press is anticipating the criticism, by reminding our ambitious young ladies that the Miss Lebanon crown is highly looked at in Lebanon, and applying for it, would mean you are exceptionally beautiful, fit, extremely confident, well-educated, vibrant, and have had some real life interaction with people of diverse backgrounds.
It is true that winning is not a guarantee, but if a well-rounded girl happens to participate in such a contest, the experience and outcome will be beneficial, either way. It will open up doors for her, and possibly make her a renown face in the modeling, or acting industry.
Our job as Media is to enlighten the road for you to Miss Lebanon, and make this journey an enjoyable one!

As a Lebanese girl myself , I woud probably be too scared to participate in miss Lebanon especially after how we witnessed the harsh criticism and attacks that Yara Khoury Mikhael went through. I think Lebanese media and press are responsible for this because they always criticise every little detail and move the miss does. The Lebanese journalist need to learn how to treat our queen like a ‘real’ queen and whoever gets elected we should always be proud of her.
